This month’s Morning Meetup features a speed networking event!

The TCYP Marketing Committe has embraced Canva as the go to tool for reoccuring marketing materials. As a motion graphic designer it has it’s pros and cons.

pro: It’s great to bring the team together and democratize the design process. Others on the marketing team can make edits with photos, copy, and design changes if needed.

con: There are some advanced functions not readily available or available at all that are in After Effects.

pro: The speed at which you can animate with Canva by applying preset animations is nice.

Overall, I can see the use of Canva in the design world after working in it for a few months now. If you’re already familiar with Adobe Creative Cloud you’ll notice many similar effects and terminology.
