Swamp Life – Tellagrafix

Beginning in high school I started screen printing t-shirts through offset printing, spray paint with stencils, and experimenting with bleach.

This summer I was inspired after I visited the local career tech center to teach a motion graphics lecture. They had all the gear needed to create four color prints. From my experience at my own career tech center I remembered that the first shirt you get to print is black and white. So that’s what I started with. As an added challenge, I worked with a lino-block to create the print myself, as I did not have a screen print station yet.

The image above is the best image I could pull from the large linoblock.

I will need to translate this onto a screen in the future to get a more accurate image. The question will remain, should I use the linocut, or the original vector graphics!
